Nature and Environment
Together, elephants and termites create ecosystems of immense biodiversity – waterholes. This is the remarkable story of Africa’s largest and smallest inhabitants and their relationship to each other. It unfolds at a seasonal African waterhole in southern Kenya and tells of an extraordinary mesh of interdependencies. From the perspective of the termite – an animal that lives at the level of elephants’ toes – we observe the goings on in and around the termite mound before everything turns to dust again.
