In April 1912, five young Brazilian men decide to climb Dedo de Deus (“Finger of God”), a mountain north of Rio de Janeiro. The pioneers barely knew what mountaineering means, but that does not stop them to carry the Brazilian flag to the top of the big monolith which became one of symbols of Brazilian mountaineering.
