Ima Nenquimo is an Indian from the tribe of the Huaorani, a tribe which lives deep in the rain forests of Ecuador. Unlike most of his tribe mates, he has learned to speak Spanish. The appearance of this 25 year-old Amazonas Indian doesn’t differ from other young modern men of the western world. Ima loves cool jeans, sneakers, T-shirts and is a passionate karaoke singer. However, as he says, his spirit lives in the jungle, where the people of the Amazonas live in an archaic way like in the Garden of Eden. Ima is committed to nature protection and he would like to study law in order to be able to save the region of his people against the exploitation and demolition of the oil companies. At the same time he also wants to become a shaman one day, like his grandfather Kamperi.
