Thursday, 13. Nov. 2008 from 14:00 in Congress Graz - Blauer Salon

On March 28th 1958, a delegation of the Austrian Himalaya Society was dispatched to an expedition to Pakistan to make the first ascent of the Haramosh peak (7,409 m / 24,307 ft), the peak that a team of english alpinists tried to climb the year before but failed. Stefan Pauer was a member of the expedition team and has filmed the adventure. But the 16 mm film has not been showed yet. 50 years later, the original filming material is shown for the first time and Stefan Pauer and Franz Mandl, the two members of the expedition team still alive, are telling us about the difficulties of the adventure and their experience.
