This documentary accompanies a caravan passing through the fantastic landscape of the Sahara in Southern Algeria showing its characteristics and laws. For 36 years, the filmmakers Jean-Louis and Odette Bernezat have explored the desert, and they love to communicate their precious knowledge. They examine why people from the highly developed Western Europe are attracted by the strange world of the desert. How does one live in the desert? What can we learn about ourselves and about the desert? Avoiding the classical clichés, this film confronts the fantasies of the spectators to the demanding reality of the desert and to the rich, undisguised space of evolvement.
