“Eisenwurzen” is an insight into the folk music of the Eisenwurzen region, people singing and stamping, so telling the history of the legends and plagues of the Austrian Eisenstraße (“Iron Route”), almost a western musical and an echo off the collective history. The musicians play the roles of heroes, such as miners, poachers and factory workers, in a bizarre but expressive way against the background of the harsh climate of the region, both politically and meteorologically. In their songs, they sing the Eisenwurzen Blues and at the same time its avantgardistic arrival in the contemporary song tradition.
